June 7, 2026 - June 13, 2026 Week in Review

Hi. Another week, another week in review. I haven't forgotten. I was looking forward to doing this all week, in fact!

Things I said I would do this week last week:

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get v2 of my website up and running yet…because I kinda forgot about it. I've been trying really hard because all I need to do now is deploy it to Neocities, but I can't figure out how to do that for the life of me. I guess I decided I'd just take a break and come back to it later… or just completely forget about it. I re-recorded my UTAU on Thursday but I'll definitely have to re-rerecord some things, and that's fine.

I haven't goten through my Vocaloid "Songs to Listen to" playlist. At all. I know, I know. I'm not busy or anything, because I don't really do anything, but I just haven't done it. I mostly listen to the same music I always listen to. I like it when music is familiar to me. Perhaps this week.

I did draw a bunch. At least once every day, and I did post it all online, too. I'm glad my work has good reception.

And I'm writing my Week in Review right now, so that's 3/5 goals done — over half!

Sunday was June 7th, 6/7 if you write the date American-ized. I'm American, so that's how I write it. It's funny to me because of the 67 meme. There was big gaming news (for me) that day — Persona 6! And a Persona 4 remake, Persona 4 Revival. How exciting.

I'm most excited for Persona 6. I wonder what it'll be like. Since all Persona games take place in a modern setting, I wonder if there will be discussion of artificial intelligence.

For some reason, I failed to mention it in the last Week in Review, but I watched the Summer Game Fest… perhaps I failed to mention it because it was kind of boring. The only news I was excited for was the new Among Us game. But watching the Summer Game fest inspired me to watch the Nintendo Direct happening four days later.

June 9th, Tuesday, was the Nintendo Direct. And it was awesome. My"predictions" for the Direct were: Danganronpa 2×2 release date, Ace Attorney 7, Hundred Line DLC, Deltarune… and hey, one out of four is not bad! I couldn't believe it. Deltarune Chapter 5 in (checking my calendar)… ten days from now!? I'm way too excited. Luckily, it comes as a free update but I honestly wouldn't mind paying for the new chapter.

Pikuniku 2, not on my prediction list, was also announced. A lot of people have been making memes where they worship Piku (the protagonist) like they're a God and it's perfect, but it's not as funny when I explain the joke to you. I haven't finished it, but I do have Pikuniku on my Switch Lite and it's a lot of fun! Unfortunately, Pikuniku 2 does seem like a Switch 2-only release, but hopefully it'll release for Switch 1 and PC eventually.

On Wednesday, I woke up to two people using my art as redraw memes. I think that's fine, I was just surprised. I've never experienced something like that before. I'm kind of surprised about how popular my art is, because it's nothing special — I'm not saying that to be humble, but a lot of people have way better art, and don't have as many followers. Maybe it's because I mostly draw cartoons? People love to laugh, and I love to make people laugh. But I never thought I was ever that funny.

On Thursday, my package finally came in the mail. Actually, I recieved it on my doorstep, but I just wanted to say that. It contained a plushie and a couple of (Vocaloid) albums. Four albums, to be exact. I'm using a couple to mean a small number of, and not exactly two. Here's a picture of the plushie — it's Adachi Rei! She's around nine inches tall and very cute. I smile whenever I see her.

As I said previously, I also re-recorded my UTAU on Thursday! On Friday, I drew a design sketch of them. Aren't they cute!?

Saturday was fun! I went to a party with my friends. To be honest, I was very quiet, but I'm naturally pretty quiet, especially in unfamiliar environments. I was just happy to be invited.

I read My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness by Nagata Kabi on Saturday, too, and I liked it. It's deeply relatable and kind of inspiring, in a way. I also enjoy the art in it — it's kinda messy but that's what makes it so cute and appealing to me.

When Nagata was talking about her struggles with getting a job, and doing what you really want to do, it made me think about what I really wanted to do. Not just what my parents want, what I want. And I've thought about it, and I think I want to be a translator for Japanese, or just a general expert on the Japanese language. I want to major in linguistics and minor in Japanese and achieve N1 and live in Japan and attend all the Vocaloid Master events I want.

I hope I can do that. I'll try to work towards it, but I still have a lot of time.

It wasn't last week, but today I again got the Wordle in 2. Impressive.

My goals for this week:

Well, that's all I have to say, so I'll see you all next week.
